History

Home of John Lemburg, Sr.

Six generations of our family have called Mason County home. Over a hundred years ago, our great-great-great grandparents carved out a place for their families in the hills of Mason County. Ranchers, farmers, bankers, merchants and attorneys – they all found ways to thrive in this place we call home. We too, love Mason and are raising the seventh generation here. We look forward to being of service to the Mason Community for many years to come.

Mason County Title Co. Location

Even the location of our office is evidence of our deep family roots in this community. Located on the southeast corner of the historic Mason County Square, the office was built on land originally owned by John Lemburg, Sr., Gerald Geistweidt’s great-grandfather.

In 1979, Gerald Geistweidt constructed the present office building which houses both the law firm and the title company he founded. Gerald practiced here until his passing in 2019. Now, two of his daughters- Rene Ince and Rebekah Whitworth, strive to continue Gerald’s legacy of providing trusted title evidence to Mason and the surrounding communities while working from this special locale.

Gerald Geistweidt

Our father, Gerald Geistweidt, started Mason County Title Company in 1979. He and our mother, Tess, established our business through many years of exemplary service. For forty-five years we have worked hard to build lasting relationships in our community and learn the history of Mason County properties.
